Mentoring

Mentoring is a unique partnership set up by two people, shaped by the wishes, needs and aspirations of the mentee and by the skills and experience of the mentor. There are benefits for both the mentor and mentee:

In the NHS

If you are a new chair who would like to have a mentor, or if you would like to offer your services as a mentor, you can contact your Strategic Health Authority chair or Regional Commissioner.

In other bodies

The Appointments Commission's Chair and commissioners have considerable experience of selection and interviewing for public bodies and of supporting chairs in their roles once appointed. They also have access to other chairs in an extensive mentoring network, who they can call upon as appropriate. Please contact us on info@appointments.org.uk if you would like to discuss mentoring.
